Our Mission
Every adult Jewish male is obligated in the Mitzvah of Tefillin 300 times a year. However, serious problems can and do arise – frequently unnoticeable – that will render ones Tefillin Pasul!
The Tefillin Awareness Project – Hanacha K’Halacha – strives to remedy this situation by providing specially qualified Sofrim and Batim Machers directly to hosting Shuls and Yeshivas. These experts examine and when necessary, adjust the placement and external parts of the Tefillin.
These comprise up to 20 issues, many of which will invalidate the Tefillin completely, encompassing the Ribu’ah (Squareness) of the Batim (Housing), the width, blackness and condition of the Retzuos (Straps), the integrity of the Kesharim (Knots) and Tefiros (Stitching).

The Tefillin Awareness Project strives to ensure that everyone in Klal Yisroel will fulfill the Mitzvah of Tefillin according to the highest Halachic standards.
Our program is endorsed by leading Roshei Yeshivos and Rabbonim
